This house was built from the same house plans my dad used to build the house where I grew up. Dad doubled the dimensions on his set of plans resulting in a much larger house.
New Concept in Lawn Care
Jimmy and I bought this little mower last summer. It has no frills but it's light and easily pushed. It does a great job.
No vodka was wasted during this photo shoot.

The "New" Crock Pot
My friend Jeannie asked me if I would like another Crockpot. She just bought an Instant Pot and is scaling back on her kitchen-filling gadgets.I expected to see one of the old models that didn't even have removal crockery. Imagine my surprise when I got this programmable beauty on the left!

The Crepe Myrtle
In 2012 there was such a thick growth of bamboo in this part of the back yard that the crepe myrtle's very existence was threatened. Now it has bounced back with vengeance. The hummingbirds love it.
Happiness is a Free Better Boy Tomato Plant
The Tanning Bed is Gone
My friend who was storing it in the basement came and got it today. I tried to sell it for him a few years ago but there was a flaw in my advertizing campaign. Nobody seemed to be interested in buying my "melanoma machine".

Galileo in Blue
Galileo Thermometer and blue CFL
Galileo Thermometer bathed in blue light from a CFL.
I put this blue CFL in my bedroom when I removed it from the front porch fixture. I keep it on there during the entire month of December, a leftover practice from when my sheriff's deputy cousin lived with me. The blue light is displayed all month long in remembrance of law enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty.
Ready for the Storm
Expecting hail storms later this afternoon so we made enough room under the steel carport to protect both vehicles.

4200 Lumen, 68 Watt, CFL
This replaces a 4-tube, 4-foot fluorescent fixture that had to be relamped at least every six months. I know....it's ugly but ugly is as ugly does.
